What this lens looks for
Establish the topic's foundations: what it is, where it came from, the established methods or schools of thought, and the key facts someone new to the topic must know. First classify the topic's domain, then draw on the sources that domain treats as authoritative. Every claim carries a citation, the exact supporting quote in its description, and its provenance fields (domain, source_type, corroboration, recency).
What its verifier checks
Every foundational claim is cited and quotes its source; definitions and history are covered; sourcing meets the claim's domain bar (no blog where a textbook, standard, or peer-reviewed source exists); provenance fields are filled; no claim restates the topic without adding verifiable information.
